hopster 1.0.0.17 is a program that allows you to bypass the restrictions on your net.
Bypassing Firewalls, Proxies or HTTP tunnel restrictions will allow you to use your favorite chat applications like MSN, AOL, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, Miranda, Trillian, or mIRC, that otherwise will be firewalled.
hopster also allows you to browse, surf, download & chat anonymously, by hiding your real IP address, thus protecting you from possible hackers.
Upon installation, hopster will review the configuration of your LAN:
Then, you will be able to choose some basic options in the menu.
The General tab will allow you to acquire a license for the product, set up it to run on startup or uninstall it.
The Proxy option lets you change your proxy configuration.
The Applications tab lets you to tell the program to configure access to some popular applications: AOL Instant Messenger, KaZaA Media Desktop, mIRC, MSN Messenger, SpamNet, Trillian, Windows Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger.
The program warns you to quit any of this applications and then start them again, for the settings to be effective. |
